Magic is in the air, but for Mo Fitzgerald that’s not always a favorable sentiment. Mo, the quiet heroine of Erica O’Rourke’s TORN Trilogy, stopped by to speak with us about her life and what to expect in BOUND.
Mo, it’s so wonderful of you to talk with us today! Tell us, how’s mortal life at the moment?
Quiet, mostly. Which is exactly how I like it. I’d like it a lot better if I wasn’t working for my uncle, and if my dad wasn’t coming home. But it could be worse. It’s been worse. But for now, quiet. And good.
You’ve had so many impossible choices to make, since your story started in Torn. Can you tell us 3 things you do to get your mind off of magic and mobs?
AP Chem. There’s an insane amount of homework. And I’m still working on the newspaper, so that takes up a lot of time. And I like taking pictures of Colin when he’s working on a new piece of furniture. He doesn’t like it, of course, but he lets me do it anyway.
What can we expect from you in Bound?
Trouble, I’m guessing. It’s been almost three months since TANGLED, and even though things are quiet right now, I’m not stupid enough to believe that will last. I haven’t spoken to Luc, but I know he’s around, and that the Arcs – especially Anton – are still interested in me. My uncle is gearing up to take down the Russian mob, and he’s going to use me to do it. To be honest, I’m getting tired of waiting. Of letting everyone else defend me. It’s time to settle all of these scores, and move forward.
If your life wasn’t full of danger and magic, what would you be doing right now?
Studying for the AP exams. And hanging out with Colin, preferably at his place. My mom adores him, but she still hovers too much.
Thank you so much for stopping to chat. Any final words for your fans? (Yes, you’ve got them!)
Thanks for having me! As for final words…thanks, you guys, for believing in me and caring about how this story plays out. (And for having such strong opinions about Colin vs. Luc. Definitely food for thought…)
